An Awakening Journey developed for (future) networks

The why?
Based on our experience and insights we believe that the future of Business Innovation will be created by networks of companies, organizations and education that share their mission and create a network where Red Monkeys (disruptive business ideas) are created, incubated and brought to operation by using the collective of passionate talents and resources available in the network. For us, this is the the most challenging target group for embedding Open Red Monkey Innovation Management.
It is also our believe that these networks will only be successful when they bring their organizational cultures in the groove with the organizations in their network. The learning and innovation potential of these networks is enormous. With the Unchained Journeys we make our first step in promoting this kind of networking.
An ‘Networks Unchained Journey’ is an Awakening Journey organized by or for a cluster of organizations that are non-competitive towards each other. Clusters offer you a chance to learn and experience the insights of The Red Monkey Story in a network of organizations. Each organization sends one or more packs of participants. Together these packs journey through the Unchained Journey.

Awakening or opening the mind for disruptive paradigms is the most difficult first step in learning. It will only happen after teaching and engagement between participants. That’s why we recommend participating with a ‘Pack of 3 to 6 Participants’ and have discussions about the content after watching every story in the journey. Building a pack is the work of a Pack Guide. He or she will be our contact during the journey period.

The First Story: Switch-3D The battle of the smarts
Today we are releasing the first story. What is the real impact of today’s information explosion on the development of our human potential and what are the consequences? How can you recognize and boost the value of people?
01. Introduction to the Story (2 Minute Video)
Instead of writing a new book, I created a visual story with Stories and Poster Talks. With every Poster Talk, I want to awaken people into a new mindset for learning, working and innovation.
After so many experiments I decided to make 'Switch-3D, the Battle of the Smarts', the first story. The Story contains 3 Posters.
The first poster will introduce 'Switch 3D' to explain what is happening with the world and will introduce some new vocabulary to better understand the dramatic challenges we are facing.
The second poster will explain 2D-Smarting. After the Poster Talk you will understand why value based on discipline & intelligence is in decline.
The third poster will focus on 3D-Smarting. It will motivate why value based on passion and talents is the next step in evolution.
After listening to the 3 Poster Talks, you can participate in an engagement session guided by a Pack Guide. During this engagement session you can discuss the content of the Poster Talks. After the session the Pack Guide reports the results and we will add new material to the story based on remarks and questions.
02. Switch-3D (8 Minute Video)
The world is changing faster and faster. From a flat 2D-World to a chaotic and ever-changing 3D-World.
People, Teams, organizations, companies, schools and regions have to adapt to a 3D-World that is flooded with information and ‘unintended consequences’ caused by the negative impact of non-sustainable innovations in the past.
This video proposes a new canvas with an updated terminology to enable or facilitate the debate of the needed switch in how we organize learning & working.
03. 2D-Smarting (7 Minute Video)
2D-Education originated in a period with information shortage and technology restraints and this resulted in a 2D-Smarting Strategy with 4 requirements …

04. 3D-Smarting (7 Minute Video)
I learned the hard way that our current 2D-Educational System with its 2D-Learning and 2D-Diplomas, is the main reason why organizations and companies have such a hard time in boosting real learning and disruptive innovation.
The outcome of our 2D-Educational System is not in the groove anymore with the needs of this 3D-Age. Improving this system is counter productive and will delay the needed transformation.
We have to transform 2D-Education, that was based on discipline and intelligence, into 3D-Education that will be based on passion and talents. 2D-Education is based on 2D-Smarting and 3D-Education will be based on what I call 3D-Smarting. 3D-Smarting will unchain our full potential.
05. Engage (4 minute Video - Engagement Duration is Passion Dependent )
Every Story ends with an engagement period to discuss the presented posters in the story. Engagements are planned and moderated by Pack Guides.
Experienced Pack Guides can customize or add engagement exercises to bring the awakening more in the groove with the needs of their packs. In this presentation I propose some engagement exercises.
